World Food Day
On October 16 2020, the annual celebration of World Food Day called for global
solidarity to help recover the global food crisis, escalated by the Covid-19 epedemic.
HKILA students marked the day by learning about the causes of the crisis and by
bringing in non-perishable foods to be delivered to ImpactHK! for distribution among the
homeless in Hong Kong.
"We feel it's important for our students to give back to the community which they are part
of and would like to thank everyone for their support" says Principal Justine Barlow.
The collection was a huge success and HKILA students are already planning the next
food collection, which they will open up to the wider community in
December #KindnessMatters
