Behind the Bees

2021-01-12

Our founder and Head of School, was born in Manchester, England. The Worker Bee has long been associated with the city, adopted as a motif during the Industrial Revolution that Manchester was at the forefront of in the early 19th century.

The bee symbolises the hard work of Mancunians’ during this era and the hive of activity that Manchester became.

The Worker Bee was added to our school logo in 2020, after a long period of school closures around the world, but particularly in Hong Kong due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It represents the hard work and determination of all our students, parents and staff members, who created their own thriving community and hive of home-learners, working diligently and collaboratively to keep up with their studies during this time.
